Rairies Montrieux is committed to energy renovation through products tailored to the specific needs of this type of work. Terracotta cladding is particularly recommended for aesthetic renovations and for improving the thermal insulation of buildings.

To tackle the problem of heat leakage and improve the comfort of residents, more and more exterior insulation projects are being carried out on single-family homes, blocks of flats and public buildings. An opportunity to embellish your facade with quality cladding in a modern, authentic style.

Clay cladding can also be used in timber-frame construction. This natural, durable product is easy to install and adaptable to a wide range of projects. It’s a long-lasting solution for lively facades.

Giving a new lease of life to tired facades

Renovating a house or building to make it more energy-efficient, and adding thermal insulation from the outside, is an opportunity to give deteriorated facades a facelift by choosing terracotta cladding.

This material can be used in a variety of ways, in terms of color, shape and texture. You can create a customized façade, from the most traditional to the most original, by choosing a natural or enamelled finish. The only limit is your imagination!

The advantages of terracotta cladding

Often favored by architects, it has undeniable qualities for reinventing a building. It can be installed on different types of framework: wood, galvanized steel or aluminum, or on Aquapanel-type panels. It offers all the advantages of ventilated insulation, allowing moisture and condensation to be evacuated for high-performance insulation.

It’s ideal for external thermal insulation, since it can be installed with any compliant insulation thickness. Easy to install, it improves acoustic comfort while reducing thermal bridges. It is maintenance-free and highly durable, resisting weathering and the wear and tear of time.

Its main advantage is above all its unique, flexible aesthetic, which adapts to all types of architecture.

An environmentally-friendly product

Made from natural raw materials (clay and sand), terracotta cladding is an ecologically responsible solution. These materials are extracted locally and require little processing, thus limiting our carbon footprint.

What’s more, it emits no harmful volatile organic compounds, and offers great protection for the facades of the buildings on which it is used. Finally, it offers an impressive lifespan of several decades.

This makes it a particularly recommended building material for the RE2020. It can be used for both energy-efficient building renovation and the construction of new energy-efficient buildings.

The ideal solution for timber-frame construction

Terracotta cladding is the only cladding permitted for wood-frame constructions. They must comply with very precise specifications, and the design of their facades is no exception, to meet the strict criteria of eco-construction.

In this way, our products can be installed as secondary cladding on an add-on frame. This is a ventilated cladding system that can be installed by interlocking, making it easy to replace elements if necessary.
