for reuse
terracotta

Today, saving resources is a central concern. Reusing materials seems to us to be an effective and simple action to implement. In the case of terracotta, it's the use of discarded or unsold parts, or overstocks, that are a prime resource. After all, why launch production of new products when bulky stocks exist?
Reuse saves manufacturing time and energy. What's more, it seems illogical to us to spend extra energy destroying high-quality stock. Our approach is both environmental and economic, and each partner benefits from it: destocking for the company, an artistic playground for the architect, cost savings for the client, and all to the benefit of the environment.

THE PROJECT'S PLACE IN THE ENGASSER AGENCY'S OUTPUT

Agence Engasser & Associés always respects costs and deadlines. Constantly looking ahead, we strive to find innovative solutions for green construction. In this project, we bridge the gap between quality traditional manufacturing and contemporary construction.
The Groupe Scolaire project for the town of Dugny pushed us to go even further in this commitment, with a level of excellence that goes beyond current regulations in terms of energy performance and CO2 emissions. Indeed, the aim was to achieve a maximum percentage of reuse within the project. In the end, 100% of the materials used for the facades came from recycled materials. This operation is a real challenge, and also an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment and design approach with a company as prestigious as SOLIDEO.

LE CHOIX DES RAIRIES MONTRIEUX

Through previous projects with Les Rairies Montrieux, Engasser & Associés has been able to test this company's know-how, professionalism and quality on several occasions. We recognize the company's ability to draw on the know-how of over 600 years of tradition, while at the same time successfully addressing contemporary production issues. The environmental approach is one of the company's fundamentals, so it seemed logical to pursue a collaboration strengthened by shared convictions.

ARCHITECTURAL EXPRESSION OF FACADES

Our aim is to integrate the building harmoniously into this new district. The aim is to create a mineral monolith emanating from the ground, punctuated by variations in volumes, materials and facade openings.
The facade itself, with its attention to detail and perspective, is made up of variations in terracotta patterns, nudes, shades and finishes.
Sometimes a massive wall, a light filter or a fence, brick also becomes a support for vegetation, amplifying the organic aspect of the site.
The aim of such a facade: to create the unexpected, arouse sensitivities and curiosity, while awakening awareness for present and future generations.
